Emmet Furey
B.E. (Structural), C.Eng, M.I.E.I., FConsEI, IntPE (Irl)
Emmet Furey serves as Managing Director of Furey Consulting Engineers, bringing over a decade of specialised expertise in structural and civil engineering. Since joining the family business in 2013, he has led some of the firm’s most significant projects, including a development of over 300 houses in Clane, Co. Kildare, and acted as senior structural engineer for the Deacthlon Sports retail store in Ballymun.
As a chartered structural engineer, Emmet specialises in complex structural design, project management, and Building Control Management System compliance. His technical expertise spans PRAI registrations, completion certificate processes, and regulatory submissions. Under his leadership, the firm has modernised its operational systems and processes, significantly enhancing project delivery efficiency.
Rory O’Hare
B.E. (Structural), Tech Cert. Eng. (Civil), M.I.E.I., C.Eng
Rory O’Hare serves as Director and Lead Structural Engineer at Furey Consulting Engineers, bringing over two decades of expertise to the firm since joining in 2002. As a part-owner and key leader, he has been instrumental in establishing the company’s reputation for delivering complex engineering solutions across Ireland. With qualifications in both structural and civil engineering, Rory leads our structural design team while also managing civil, drainage, and environmental aspects of major projects. His extensive experience encompasses everything from innovative ICF construction systems to specialist foundation deisgn.
Niall Furey
B.E. (Structural), PGD Fire Safety Practice, M.I.E.I.
Niall Furey serves as Director and Team Manager at Furey Consulting Engineers, bringing specialised fire safety expertise to the family business since 2018. After completing his Structural Engineering degree at DIT Bolton Street, he has quickly advanced to become a part-owner and operational leader within the firm. Niall specialised qualification in Fire Safety Practice enables him to handle complex fire safety design and prepare fire safety certificates for demanding building projects.
Niall’s integrated approach combines structural engineering principles with advanced fire safety knowledge, allowing him to optimise building designs for both structural integrity and fire safety compliance from initial concept through completion.
Marcia Perseguim
B. Arch (Architecture and Urbanism), B.A. Interior Design
Marcia Perseguim joined Furey Consulting Engineers in 2022, bringing dual qualifications in Interior Design and Architecture from São Paulo, Brazil. She specializes in AutoCAD technical drawings, 3D rendering, and Building Information Modeling for residential and commercial projects.
Since relocating to Ireland, Marcia has successfully delivered projects for leading designers and architects across Dublin. Her proven ability to interpret complex design briefs and deliver high-quality visualisations under pressure makes her a valuable addition to our design and engineering team.
Paula Noleto
B. Arch (Architecture and Urbanism)
Paula Noleto joined Furey Consulting Engineers in 2024, bringing expertise in Building Information Modeling (BIM), technical drawing production, and design development. With a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and Urbanism from Brazil and qualifications in Construction Project Management from Columbia University, she combines strong design foundations with practical technical skills.
Paula specialises in AutoCAD, Revit, and 3D visualization software, creating comprehensive technical solutions from concept through construction documentation. Her experience includes residential developments, commercial projects, and international master planning work, making her a valuable addition to our engineering and design team.
Clarissa Finamour
B.E. (Civil), M.I.E.I., Tech Cert. (Architectural Technology)
Clarissa Finamor is a recent Engineering graduate joining Furey Consulting Engineers in 2025, bringing comprehensive technical expertise from her Civil Engineering degree (Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil) and Advanced Certificate in Architectural Technology and Design from Dun Laoghaire Further Education Institute.
Clarissa combines strong engineering fundamentals with advanced CAD and BIM capabilities. Her experience spans AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, and SketchUp across residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects. As a recent member of Engineers Ireland, Clarissa is working toward earning her Chartered Engineer status in Ireland.
Saras O'Sullivan
Office Manager, Bookkeeper
Saras O’Sullivan serves as Office Manager at Furey Consulting Engineers, bringing over 25 years of administrative and accounting expertise to our team. Saras oversees our financial operations, administrative systems, and day-to-day business coordination.
Her comprehensive experience includes budgeting, bookkeeping, payroll administration, and credit control. Saras ensures efficient workflow across all departments while maintaining our high standards of professional service and administrative excellence.
External Consultants
Conor Furey
B.E., C.Eng., M.I.E.I.
Conor Furey founded Furey Consulting Engineers in 1994 and now serves as an external consultant to the firm. A former Commandant with the Irish Defence Forces Corps of Engineers, Conor has gained enormous experience in all aspects of development having provided services to all aspects of both Commercial and Public bodies.
Over 30 years, Conor built Conor Furey & Associates into one of Ireland’s most respected provincial engineering consultancies, serving commercial and public sector clients nationwide. He remains active in the Naas community through The Rotary Club of Naas.
Peter Conran
B.E., C.Eng., M.I.E.I.
Peter Conran is a Chartered Engineer. Peter also spent time with The Defence Forces and has worked for Pat Moore Builders and RMI before his association with Furey Consulting Enigneers. Due to his extensive and in-depth knowledge of construction, Peter heads up our building survey element of the business which also extends to site inspections and ongoing monitoring of works.
